POWERWOLF Prepares To Enter Studio
December 17, 2008Multinational metalheads POWERWOLF have issued the following update:
"After four intense months of hard work, blood, sweat and incense, we have finally written the follow-up album to 'Lupus Dei'. We hardly left our rehearsal room during that time and explored new dimensions of wolfish metal insanity breeding out the new songs. And now that in the grace of St. John of the cross we have finished the catharsis of the pre-production, we think it's time to involve you wolf maniacs in the genesis of the third POWERWOLF opus. Before us lies a crusade that will lead us to four different studios, countless days of deprivation and ministration to the one and only heavy metal. Among the stuff we had written during the last four months we have chosen 12 songs to be recorded for the album — and each single one of them is a goddamn anthem. We can hardly hide our enthusiasm and can't wait to bring these tunes in shape. Even though it will take quite a few months until you all will be able to hear what we're preparing for your pleasure, we hope you'll rejoice reading the lines we'll carve in our web site in between the studio madness, so take a breath, invoke your fave demons, and read out loud."
POWERWOLF's new album will be recorded in part at Studio Fredman in Sweden with producer Fredrik Nordström (DIMMU BORGIR, IN FLAMES, HAMMERFALL).
The band's second LP, "Lupus Dei", was released in May 2007 via Metal Blade Records.
